Went to La Panza for some pig hunting this past weekend. Pigs were cooperative and the weapons of choice were of the 6.5mm persuasion.

Pigs ranged from 300+ pounds down to 130. The big one was stuck with an arrow by "Thats Just My Game". The one with the choppers fell to my .260.

Built a new rifle for my son. He is now part of the .260 club. His new rig has now seen battle.

Nonetheless, we had a good time with friends and family.

Is that La Panza Ranch out there west of Bakersfield?

Good haul. Nice boar, he sure does have some shanks on him.

It was not the La Panza Ranch. We were in the La Panza range which runs just East of Santa Margarita.

We hunted with a friend of a friend. The hunt was guided ($650 all inclusive less meals). Very fun and plenty of targets.

No Bill, no recovery of the GS Custom projectiles. The bullets frag and pass through. Like a bomb with a drill behind it. The animals go down as if hit by the hammer of Thor; 95 grains of death. So far using the GS bullets I have shot 3 pigs and 3 deer and no bullet recovery. Just dead animal recovery. :)

Thanks for all of the kind words. Its fun to go hunting and then report back and post about the experience and equipment performance.
