yea, a sidearm would be nice, i just dont want to ever be in the situation where i took a bad shot and piss off a bear/pig and it charges..esp with pig..it happens..less worried about deer.. heres a bear charging a bow hunter...mind you, he wasnt smart at all... hard pass
