I'd run through some google searches on regulations and need to know info. There's great resources on here but people only answer if you know to ask. It would be awful to end your hunting career right when it starts due to lack of info. You would be surprised how many specific rules there are...

Thanks for all the information everyone. It sounds like no one really has had an issue occur due to painting their gun. I was just concerned of any future issues that might pop up if I painted mine since mine is relatively new still. Time to prepare for a fun pet project now

I found a great double paned thermos at walmart that keeps ANY beer ice cold for the day. I use to take them out to havasu during the summer and my drinks would be ice cold throughout the day.

Yeah like everyone's saying. Just keep that plug in when you're out hunting. Whether or not you have 3 rounds in the chamber, the rangers only look to see that your plug is in.
