How did you guys do on Upland Opener?

Took my 9 year old son “the dog trainer” and French Brittany Gigi out for quail opener here in San Diego. Got into a nice covey and shot a bird with son by my side. He got to watch as feathers flew into the air and thought it looked just like the movies... but louder. Proudest papa hunting...

Credit card hit Friday? Anybody know how long it takes from the time credit card hits until you find out which hunt you drew? My dads cc was hit Friday.. pretty sure it’s an bull elk tag. He’s in New Zealand so I can’t ask him any details. Thank you, Dave the slave Sent from my iPhone using...

    243 for CA pigs

I wouldn’t go 243 for pigs. I pulled a 243 mushroomed slug out of a pigs protective rib cage callus that was perfect shot placement. Mushroomed Barnes bullet and didn’t penetrate into chest cavity. No less than 25-06 imho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2018 Boar Hunt

Thanks for all the feedback. This is a guided hunt on cattle ranches but is never easy. Rarely do we get on em in the fields and typically work like spot and stalk. All sausages jalapeño cheddar/polish/Italian/ breakfast and ground chorizo from this batch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2018 Boar Hunt

After missing a huge boar the evening before I was able to connect on this respectable 180lb younger boar on Mother’s Day. I used my trusty .25-06 with 100gr Barnes tsx bullets. We (my old man and I) dad smoked 2 pigs and we ended up with 3 wild pigs (all young boars) and have a bunch of sausage...

Opening week DIY CA Desert Archery Hunt

Backpacked into our local desert and chased around some really mature deer. Camped out 6 miles from the road and got into a really solid spot. Got 4 really good stalks in and closed distance to 20 yards on 2 really nice bucks! Couldn't seal the deal but feel really confident that each year I'm...

Spotted a couple decent bucks bedded until we got hit by a nice thunderstorm and gulley washer. Should make for some challenging and fun adventures. Spot and stalk. Looking forward to the...

    D12 scouting advice needed

My recommendation is to find springs. Get a spotting scope, binos, and glass the mountains and washes all day. I have had some success doing this in new areas. Keep in mind regs on watering areas and legal hunting distances etc etc.. Sent from my .25-06 using Tapatalk
