Thanks for the info. I found out I will be up there for 3 days in about a week and a half. Hopefully I can come home with a few birds :)

    Crowley lake waterfowl

Anyone know anything about hunting up there near Bishop, Crowley, lower owens? I may be making some trips up there to visit friends in the next few weeks and had heard reports saying it wasn't worth it and also reports that said it was great. Anybody have any personal experience? I'm not asking...

    Who Needs Dove Opener

Same here . I have 2 or 3 pairs that live nearby. I live in Temecula wine country so I could probably take them with a pellet gun if I really wanted to... Also, at least where I live, I've noticed that mourning doves are staying in the city leaving the euros to inhabit the more rural areas...

    D15 ??

Thanks for the info For the most part , vail lake is mostly private lands but from what I saw on google earth there is a fairly big chunk of blm land maybe a 1 or 2 miles north of it. I'll probably go check it out sometimes during the week and hopefully it isn't gated I used to go hunting...

    D15 ??

Hello all, Ive noticed that no one ever seems to talk about d15 hunts....... I will probably go out near vail lake fairly close to where a buddy of mine took one , I'm new to deer hunting and won't have time to go far so I figured I would try it. Just curious if anyone else has had any success...

    Any Blythe Reports?

I know that most of my buddies are heading out there and they have had a few really good years lately....probably won't be too bad I'm heading out near wister Good Luck! :)

Hunting / Shooting sights to see in California

I believe the closest Bass Pro to you is in Rancho Cucamonga which is a bit of a drive, in my opinion, just to shop but it might be worth going if you have never been :) Turners Outdoorsman will probably have most everything you want but it isn't even close to the bass pro "experience". I know...

    Wilderness Bowhunt Recap

Great story.... A buddy and I have been contemplating a hunt like this in NorCal/ Sierras for years. This may help convince him..... ;)

    I know nothing.....

I don't know very much myself but if you are talking about fishing from a boat, I would recommend you buy a ticket for a 1/2 day charter (or longer, but 1/2 day trips are a good place to start). They provide live bait and most of the crews are fairly used to newbies so I'm sure the could help...
