What broadheads have you harvested more deer with? Quick kills? Bloodiest pass throughs? I've watched hundreds of YouTube videos. Read lots of threads in other forums.. I want to hear what you guys think.. Hope you all have a great day Christmas!!

Schwacker and Rage are good on deer. People with more experience with larger game like Elk can chime in on whether they use mechanical or fixed blade broadheads.

Idaho requires fixed blades. I use them there and same here unless winds pick up past 20MPH. They seem simpler (KISS Principle I try to live by).

Heavy winds, I'll switch to mechanicals which have less sail area up front and hope they function as designed.

Seems to me shot placement and patience enough to get a good angle is the most important issue...

Grim Reapers have been best for me.....Great blood trails and they don't seem to open up like Rage's do, when touched by something (brush, limbs, etc.).

I've been shooting Muzzy broadheads for over 25 years. I'm not a gadget guy and use what works for me. No reason to look for a different head. I'm currently shooting the MX3 100. I've killed Mule deer, Whitetail deer, Sitka Blacktail deer, Coues Whitetail deer, Columbia Blacktail deer, American elk, Tule elk, Barren Ground Caribou, Pronghorn antelope, Black bear, Mountain Lion, Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Wild hog, Javalina, Catalina Island Spanish goat, Santa Cruz Island Moreno sheep, and small game... with Muzzy fixed blade broadheads. I've never used a mechanical and never will... too many horror stories. Ed F

the one you send though both lungs

i personally like fixed blade with a trocar tip but they all pretty much work if you do your part. the g5 striker is what i have changed to since my supply of rocky iron heads went poof.

G5 Montec 100gr. They are bulletproof. Shot a doe two years ago at 40 yards. Complete pass through and stuck in a tree behind her. We dug it out of the tree and I sharpened back to razor sharp and it is in my quiver today. I wouldn't think twice about shooting it at another animal.

G5 Montec 100g when hiking around since the mechanicals sometimes get yanked open by grass, etc. but Rage from my stand or sit. Almost every deer I've gotten out here were with the Rage mechanical blades. Both are in my quiver.
