Conditions couldn't have been much better.....Semi cloudy and 10-25 mph winds all day.....The average Saturday?....0.73....The fat lady isn't just singing, it's a full blown Italian opera.....lol

Still managed 5 ducks plus a Ross' goose at the Wis.....Then this morning I got invited to a friends super secret pond/lake.....7 ducks in short order.....Kind of like shooting Web lake.....lol

I think I'm going north for the closing week-end (Los Banos).....Heard it was WFO in the Grasslands.

Nice job on the birds . It was slow here in southern Utah did not even fire shot .

Steve,. Hunted Volta for the first time on Saturday. It's hard going into a refuge for the first time in the dark. We did manage some birds and packed up at 10am.

At least you got your limit of pintail.....lol.....It's just hunting somewhere new that is fun.....I can stay here, if i just want to shoot some ducks.

Definitely fun checking out new areas. We were headed home from farther up north and decided to check it out. Lots of birds in the early am. Then it shut down. We were trying to get home as early as possible so unfortunately we didn't have time to explore. The lady that runs the checkstation could put the Wis employees to shame. She cranked out the reservations and non in a furious pace. Los Banos is close to there and on my wish list next

Ha ha, Nick.....That was honkers.....And none of those were shot in SoCal by any of us this season.....Now, cousin Ron was still killing them in Montana till the closer Sunday.
