Coming out and looking forward to it. This will be the first turkey season for me and my boy.
NWTF Spring Turkey Tune-Up 2018

Great turn out today with beautiful weather (around 300).....I want to thank all the city folks that helped (Maile, Matt, AJ, and Aaron). Without them, we would not have these hunts....It was the 1st time I've actually been the MC and your help was essential.....We'll try and get some of the bumps out before next year.....lol
The drawing went pretty well, but not a single NWTF worker got drawn.....lol.
I want to thank Joe Slaton of Mother Lode Calls for driving down from NoCal and giving the turkey hunting calling demonstration......Your calls are awesome.
I want to thank Brett from Willow Creek Archery for donating a bow and turkey 3D target....IMO....That was the grand price of the day.
Thanks to Flydown Custom Calls (Josh Kettle) for attending and showing folks how to use crow & slate calls.
Thank you to Amanda, the manager from the San Marcos Turner's for donating prizes and a turkey decoy.
Cleveland NF was well represented. Lee (region mgr), Jeff Welles (biologist), and law enforcement.
Thank you to DFW for sending out 2 wardens to answer questions.
Again this year, we had the local VFW chapter provide the food.....Despite not getting one of those great hot dogs.....The compliments were many.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the NWTF volunteers for your hard work and dedication to keeping our great sport of turkey hunting alive & well.
Good luck to all that got drawn, we will try to make the event even better next year, and please support our local sponsors.

Thanks for putting on a good & informative event. I learned quite a bit. I got drawn 2nd to last which was a really surprising for how many people were there. So hopefully I can take a little of what I learned and use it for my date.
