Hi everyone,

I want to pick up my first archery deer tag and wanted some more info on the differences between an AO tag and an A31 tag. I know that the A31 tag is for Los Angeles county (and possibly some surrounding areas). Are there any major differences between the 2? Any advantages of one over the other? Should i just buy both if i can?

Any Info on AO tag hunting areas, and any info on both tags in general would be greatly appreciated. Ive tried researching this information online, its just not too clear to me.

Thanks guys!

John,

In a nutshell......AO tags can be used in any D zone (buck only) and their corresponding seasons dates......A-31 is specific to LA Co. area and is either sex.

The AO tag can also be used in the A zone as well. it really opens up most of the state for archery hunting and makes for a longer season
