First experience elk hunting this year, and it was amazing. Flynn Ranch is an awesome outfitter working on 25,000 acres of private land. They really put you on the animals. 4 guys got 4 bull elk, 4 mule bucks, 2 of us got white tail doe, and we even did a little bit of bird hunting on the last day. Here's a few photos and a link to a video I made.

Awesome!

I have to know (sorry for being rude), is this over $6K or under? How far in advance does someone need to plan for a trip like this? Are there big game draws in the planning?

Bak,

Great video & pix.......Thanks for sharing........The combo tag (any elk, any deer, upland, waterfowl, & fishing) draw they offer is a great deal for just around a $1000.00 (& there's still tags left)......Because I have a friend there, I can make this hunt for about $2,000.00. And that includes having the animals processed professionally......I love Montana.

ps....The any deer does not include mule deer does.

Not rude at all, great question. 5 day hunt was right around 3K (which includes all lodging, accommodations, food, almost everything) plus 1k for combo tag, and a few hundred for butchering and tips. I think I was out about 5k door to door.

While we were hunting they fully booked the 2016 season, so I would say at least a year in advance. I plan on going back in a few years, the guides were really cool, it was almost like I was hunting with my crazy uncles or something. 2-1 guide service, but hey stick around as people tag out, so when 3 of us filled our tags the last guy had a whole team of help.

There is technically a draw, but we were told it was very likely we would get it, and we all did. You can also apply for antelope, and cow elk.

They sell whitetail doe tags for 40-50 bucks over the counter so I grabbed one at the gas station after I tagged out.
