Hi guys and gals. I'm not necessarily new to the area nor to the site, however, this is my first post. I am looking for a hunting buddy that matches my interests, dedication, and future goals.

I am primarily a bow hunter and I have focused my efforts over the past four years in the Mt. Laguna area. I have had what I would consider success, harvesting one doe and passing on at least 30 over the past 4 years. I have seen 6 legal bucks on the hoof while in my stands but never had an opportunity come together. All in all, I am learning and definitely getting better, with more opportunities and more deer sightings every season.
I feel like I have a decent amount of experience and knowledge to offer and I am looking for someone to team up with, not only on local hunts, but on out of state hunts as well. I recently graduated college and will have more time, and money, to expand my hunting efforts and already have a couple bonus points saved up in neighboring states for deer and elk. I would be interested in teaming up with someone that is a dedicated archery hunter, who has the time and money to commit to hunting locally as well as 1-3 out of state hunts per year.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post, I am looking forward to hearing what you all have to say.

r-249,

Welcome to SCH......Finding a good partner is always tough, especially in a solidarity type of hunting like bow hunting.....You may consider joining one of the bow hunting clubs here in SD or start hanging out at one of our local shops.

Good luck........:)

When your out hunting talk to fellow hunters most are cool. Lots of us hunt up there hope to see ya this season.

Good luck

Wouldn't hurt to tell people where your located.....I would guess the OC?

Thanks for the input guys. That's kind of the response I was expecting. I talk to people out in the woods as well as at the shops, met a couple of guys who I shoot with regularly, but their not in the same position as I am. I was just hoping to find someone, who like me, is ready to expand their efforts and possibly team up with someone, thought this forum might help to narrow out the awkwardness of that search, lol. I live in North County by the way. Anyways, feel free to reply or message me, otherwise good luck this season.

Welcome. Do u shoot at any of the ranges or organized shoots? I shoot at Morley Field semi-regularly and guys are always talking deer hunting. Might be a good place to link up with fellow bowhunters also.

That's a good tip SurfNHunt, it probably would be good to attend a few of the local 3d shoots. I tend not to make it down to any of the ranges cause I'm in north county and I have a pretty sweet setup where I shoot out to 100 yds regularly.

Dude lets plan a Wyoming Antelope hunt for August 2017!!! Dream archery hunt for me.......

Do you need points saved up or is it an easy tag to draw, when is the season. BTW? I would totally be down to go hunt some speed goats, sounds like a blast.

Im a member of the huntin fool application service... and basically have a hunting consultant 24 hours a day... I was gunna shoot them a call and see what sort of package they can throw together.... Wyoming has some easier to draw units like 0-1 points for good odds but they also have super premium hunts like every state. Im looking for access to private property with use of an easy to draw tag or OTC tag. Shoot me a DM if your interested, I have a couple buddies (they are all flakes) who want to tag along so lmk brother.
