Trespassing or not????

You need to post actual ordinances here as this is simply not true in a broad sense.

Do not always believe what you hear from the warden. Always have your data checked out before you head out. Emails from the county, sheriff, etc.

Some ER's are open to hunting. In So Cal, Coal Canyon Ecological Reserve is an example that comes to mind. You definitely can walk through that to get to the NF since you also can hunt it, but I do not think you can walk to the adjoining state park with a firearm to get to the ER.

Can you post an ordinance that proves that what the warden told me is not true?

Don't take my post personal at all. It wasn't meant to come across that way

A ton of new hunters use this site to get them started hunting. Ecological Reserves are open to hunting, just not all of them. I wouldn't want a new hunter thinking they could not hunt them.

I was actually going to post the link that Trig did, he beat me too it.

Even if it is a "no hunting" ER I would still do my research to find out if what the warden said is in fact true. They are human and unfortunately can't know everything.
