Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if there are any other noobs out there who don't have enough (or in my case, any) game cams, but Midway is having a sale on the cheapo 3MP Tasco Mini Cams. $24.99 a pop + shipping.

Here's the link, for any who may be interested:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/817242/tasco-mini-infrared-game-camera-3-megapixel-black?cm_mmc=pe_weekly-_-hotbuy-_-tasco_mini_game_cam-_-20160710

I've heard they're available cheaper, but I haven't been able to find them for less, so I thought I'd share.

Thanks for the tip, I got 3 of them. Both Walmarts near Fallbrook suck for hunting stuff.

Randy,

So do mine, but every once in a while they blow hunting & fishing stuff out.

No worries! My WalMart is the same way, though it seems I may need to keep a closer eye on it.

You can also go to Wal-Mart's web page and sometimes they have hunting stuff on sale there as well.....Just remember, you normally get what you pay for......Trail cam's are no different.

Steve, have you used the trail cameras you purchased from walmart? Wondering if they worked ok for you. (for $25 I'll probably pick a few up anyway haha)

Tom,

I haven't, but I lent some to a friend......Here's his pix sent to me......Not much different for night pix than my $150.00 trophy cams......IMO

It's funny you say that because my Walmart has these cameras for $50 last time I checked.

Yep......One was brown ($17.00) and the other one was gray/black ($49.99)......Seemed to be the exact same camera.

I put up one of the cameras in some bushes by a drainage channel right by my house to try it out, and now know that a cat walked by a 3:37 yesterday morning...and that I need to fix the moon setting I know it's dumb, but I'm excited haha. Going to get out in the next couple of weeks and set these things up for real.

Camera seems to work just fine, as ilovesprig indicated it would :)

that's the best turkey trail cam pic I've seen in years. Let's hope the grasshoppers keep doing well to feed them through summer.

004.JPG 002.JPG Dan,

It was a very good morning to see poults.......I'm consciously optimistic about this years recruitment class......;)

image.jpeg Here's another promising group from last weekend. I couldn't count all the poults in the tall grass, but I'd guess close to a dozen.
