In order to draw reservations at SJ and Wister, will there be an option under online license sales on the f&w website? I have my type a pass, state and federal stamps, etc. Just wondering when they will open up the option to put in for different days. Thanks for the help.

Yes, there is a option on DFW's website......Normally we can start putting in our applications for the state wildlife areas (Wister & San J) in September......This year the opener is Oct. 22nd......The application must be in at least 17 days before the date you're applying for......There is the option of putting in for every shoot day. For instance, all Wednesdays, all Saturdays, & all Sundays at Wister. Then you're automatically in the drawn each shoot day......The actual draw is 10 days before......So you should know if you were drawn for the opener by Oct. 12th.

Steve, looks like the Socal duck opener is listed as October 22, which is also the D16 deer opener. Could affect the draw odds for SJ?

ps.....Doubt that it will make much difference.....Most of us put in for all Saturdays, including the deer opener.
pss...Quail & chukar opener is Oct. 15th.....Many times it's the duck opener too.
