Trail cam goes out in a blaze of glory

Although my trail cam did not survive the blue cut fire, the SD card did. This is what it captured. Check out the time to get an idea of just how fast this fire was moving...

Pretty amazing, I would imagine the heat melted the camera to some extent.
 
In all honesty those images should be submitted to CA fire department. With them, they could make an incredibly effective awareness campaign for wildfire awareness and compliance with evacuation orders.

You should win environmental photo contests with those.

I know one of the investigators assigned to finding the cause of the fire. I'll ask if he knows who to contact about that. Still can't believe how fast it came through.
 
Very cool photos! They are unique enough that I bet you could make a national hunting website with those. Maybe recoup $100 or so to buy a new trail camera!
