image.jpeg so I just bought my first bow. I've shot achery before but I'm no expert. It's been a few years since I've shot but did pretty good for being a newbe. The bow I got is a diamond infinite pro set at 69lbs with a 28 inch draw. Can't believe I freaking bought a bow. Lol I'm a 100% rifle Hunter but I said screw it, and I figured it just adds days in the field for me.

very cool bow!

I've been thinking of a bow for exactly the same reason - more days in the field.

Same reason here. Just bought a bow and this too will be my first season. Already went out with it to CNF D15 to see how it is lugging it around. Sept 4th will be my first deer hunting day.

BTW CNF "no target shooting" rule applies to bows as well. Already got a warning.

Wow I had no idea that applied to bows also. I think that is one that should be bent. Makes no sense to me to not allow archery target shooting. Maybe you just need to make sure you are in an area not covered with hikers.

Congrats Juan.....I wish I would've started earlier in life.....The archery way of hunting is very additive, humbling, and mentally fulfilling.

Thanks guys I've been shoot quite a bit since I've got it. I'm feeling pretty confident with soft ball size groups at 40 yards. They also get smaller as the distance gets shorter. Now it's just working on my stalking skills. Yesterday I got to about 12 yards of some deer in my zone before the busted.

Yep my season went from 4 weeks to 15 weeks just from buying a bow. Now you will need to buy all the early season archery clothes to go with it.. Each year I think I'm done for a while buying hunting gear but I buy stuff each year. Lol

just bought this scope today

Take some lessons at performance archery if your in SD.....if not lots of archery clubs do the same thing. It's well worth it to have someone watch your form and help guide you.
