image.jpeg image.jpeg Selling my 56 willys jeep I have way to many toys. It's a CJ6 which means it is about 24" longer then a standard CJ5 giving you a nice cargo area in the back. New paint, 283 sbc, good transmission, all new slave cylinders, rebuilt carb, new gas tank, new fuel pum. It's a fun car to drive only thing lacking are brake and headlights which I will wire in this week.Iit might not be the fastest but it goes up everything. People get a real kick out of it.

I love the baby car seat. Does the CJ6 have the 4WD shift on the console or on the front hubs?

These jeep since it has a longer front to back wheei span in my opinion are very stable while going up hills. If I was not tied up with cash flow I would have picked it up. For buzing a round the mountains. I bet it has front locking hubs. But never was an issue.with my old jeep. I had a Kaiser Jeepster Commando. Should have never sold it. It was in some of my old post.

The front hubs on any 4x4 have nothing to do with the shifter.

Old truck all have floor shifters. Most new trucks have electrical shift switches on the dash. Some new trucks still have floor shifters.

Then you may or may not have manual hub locks On the front hubs.

No hub locks. You just put it in 4x4 on the floor.

Ya I took my 3 year old for a cruise yesterday he had a blast.

my old jeep had shifter on the floor for 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel hi, and four wheel low. with manual front locking hubs, with automatic trans 400 . my ranger 4 x 4 has a switch on the dash. but what I like about the shifter on floor, maybe because I am old school it feel more positive when I changed gears.
