So I was griping a few weeks ago about my normal hunting location being destroyed in the Cedar fire. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Did some satellite scouting and found a promising location near Sherman Pass (about 9000ft). A buddy and I packed in about 4 miles to an old burn area and knocked down a nice bear on Sunday morning. After boning out the bear, we pulled camp and decided to pull it all out in one trip. A 75lb and 60lb pack is no fun for over 4 miles (and a 1,700ft climb), but that's why we're out there, right?!

Awesome job man! Coming out heavy always sucks, but when you see your truck all you can think is "finally, hell yes" lol

Thanks TH-
I definitely used some expletives of joy when I saw the truck. Haha. And thanks again for the tripod/vortex bino adapter recommendation. That setup was a lifesaver hunting out of a pack and weighs close to nothing. Awesome-

very nice! Is that the actual shot with the muzzle flash? Way cool.

It is! I record in slow-mo so I can find the frame with a muzzleblast or impact and screenshot it. You get some cool photos that way-

Thanks guys! Also, just to be clear (I don't think I emphasized this in my original post), my hunting buddy pulled the trigger on this one. I was there for a follow up shot but he didn't need it. Want to make sure I don't take any undo credit. :)

Have you tried shooting in 60 fps? I've been able to get some cool screen grabs.
