Just picked up my 2015 California black bear from Randomshot. He did a great job and I couldn't be happier. Now we have to figure out how to come up with some wall space.

Nice ! How about putting it under a glass top coffee table large enough to keep it from getting foot traffic wear or in a low traffic area some where in the house. Another question, how did it taste and how did you prepare it ?

Thanks for the kind words.

Fred, we had T&H make sausage and jerky sticks out of him. I will save you a bag of sticks and bring it on our elk hunt for you to try. The meat was very strong in flavor. Bear would not be my first choice regarding table fare. Johnny went crazy over it though and he pillaged the freezer (he took it all). I am glad he enjoyed it so much.

As far as wall space, I have 13 mounts in the living room and dining room. My wife get's at least a picture or two of space. It's the least I can do. We will find a spot.

That's beautiful John. Bear meat makes great stew, and I've also smoked/BBQ'd it.

Reason I ask is my wife wants me to shoot a bear and have it mounted but I have heard it's not very cheap !
