Hi guys,

The San Diego chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation monthly meeting is next Tuesday the 24th at Filippi's Pizzeria in Poway......With turkey season just 2 months away, this would be a great chance to meet some of the local folks that know the areas well.

We start at 6:00 pm. With the meeting starting at 6:30 pm......Hope to see a bunch of you guys that are new to hunting......Get involved......

Do you know if there is a riverside chapter?

There was, but it is no longer a chapter.

ps.....Turkeys find private property because, it's got reliable food sources, reliable water sources, and in many cases no pressure from hunters.

With all this rain, they'll be more food & water sources on public.....Which is a good thing.

Just a bump for tomorrow nights meeting......Turkey season is just around the corner and toms are starting to gobble, hens are getting their pecking order in line, and jakes are being pushed out......Great time to start scouting.

Let's talk turkey......

Nope......Free & open to the public......Best place to be for new hunters in SD Co.

ps.....Well, unless you want something to eat or drink.

Owen,

It was a pleasure meeting you......Let's do some scouting......Did you go on your walk where we talked about?

Great to meet you as well.

I will be going there Saturday morning. I'm guessing the trail will be closed so I will put additional miles on the boot leather as I will probably have to hike from trailhead

Was great to meet you as well Steve! would love to hunt scout with you as well.

So I do not own any decoys. I probably need some huh? any advice?

Sweet Stevo.........

Owen,

They're just another tool.....Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.....It depends a lot on what kind of habitat you're in.....Dark woods or back in the woods, make them find you......Open country, the 2 year olds & jakes have a hard time not picking a fight with a guy with a girl......lol
