Bucket list hunt for me and one step closer to my deer slam. My good friend Mike and I spent 6 of a 9 days on the island before having to get picked up early due to severe weather. We risked being stuck and missing our flight home if we gambled and stayed. This hunt tested me to my limits both mentally and physically. We endured rain every day and super hard rain for 28 hours straight. Winds up to 70mph which created 100ft tall wind spouts on the lake we camped at which resulted in loosing my tent to the Kodiak Winds. We did get an opportunity to fish and took full advantage of it.
