Honestly if you don’t scout that place every evening during the summer it’s tough. Trust that’s my home zone I live 10 minutes from the gate. so my advise is either scout more and lower standards(if you have high ones) or pick another zone. It’s the worst zone in the whole state to hunt.

That’s crazy never knew that about rams. This guy was with a big herd of ews and lambs. But he was ahead of them. I saw a total of about 25 sheep.

First one I ever saw was right outside of Thompson fall MT. I miss it so much.

I suck using them Steve lol. I just get pictures of sceneries. When I glass with my binos I see way more deer. Even in the hottest part of the day. Just gotta glass into pockets of shade. But I wish I could just get pictures to look at but I feel like it’s to much effort for pictures when I can...

That’s the way to get it done. Most guys just rely on their game cameras. It good to know what’s there but i personally think you don’t learn what they actually do when the pressure hits. And I suck at using cameras so I just hike and glass areas lol.

Don’t know yet. But we have him in the bugs right now and we will score him sometime this week. And really it’s a fantastic first buck. That’s why I’m the vid I keep telling him he doesn’t know what he has done haha. I was super siked for him.

You me brother I can’t pass on a legal buck. They just taste to dang good. Lol.

Filmed the shot from 900 yards away. Lol I was losing it on the hill when I wanted him go down. Wish I could’ve kept it together and kept the buck in frame lol.

We had a great season this year and it was tons of fun. Already counting the days till September. Hoping that next year I can break my forky habit and stick a big deer or put a bullet through one. Nonetheless it was a great season with a new hunting partner.

Think steep,thick and nasty. That’s where they’ll be. Another tip would be to watch how the hunters move than be on the opposite side of their push.
