    Archery Hunting D7/D8

I hunt up there every year and have shot a few bucks up there. If you want to get away from people and have a chance at a big buck you have to hike in a few miles. With that being said hiking while hunting up here will get you nowhere. Best approach to that zone is to hike in before first light...

    D11 archery opener report

D11 is turning into a really bad and tough zone to hunt. Lots of trips up there with no deer sightings or success..... drought has definitely taken its toll on the zone, not to mentions the cats alao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got it done this morning on the second to last day!!

Sorry it took me so long to post the story but here it is. Starting with opening week I decided to hunt an area that I found during the archery season, and of course there were a lot of people in the spots I wanted to watch. I decided to hike a little further and watch a hillside which was...

    D15 Love

D15 is not an easy area to hunt. Thick terrain, houses all over and people dirt biking all around you. My favorite spot was Bedford canyon before it turned into a golf course... that's where I shot my first buck. Congratulations man Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Rifle!!

Yeah the scope is actually my dads old scope that I believe he bought in the late 60s or 70s. The scope has been a culprit in harvesting many deer lol. Hopefully another one this year with my new rifle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a weaver V9-W II, wide angle. It's pretty cool, it's just not as clear as I want, would like to get a nice Nikon or Vortex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Rifle!!

My dad gave me some ammo he has reloaded and one box is the hornandy 140 with 57 gr powder. I'll have to check what the other box is. I believe they are Barnes projectiles. Scope is an old wide angle tv scope weaver. I'll upload pics later today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Rifle!!

So I just got a new savage 7MM Mag with a 24 inch barrel. I'm shooting a 140 gr bullet. My question is how far does this caliber usually go up to and with knock down power? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    First Deer Hunt

I went up there also. Saw about 10 deer in the spot over the two days I was there. My biggest suggestion to you is to find a good spot to glass an area. Don't move so much unless it's to change glassing angles. Let your eyes do the work through optics. I was very pleased with the amount of deer...

    Dad got his buck!!

Dad just got back from his trip up to D7 and scored this nice forky. He's going to be 70 this year and still hiking those mountains and getting it done. I think that makes 56 deer for him in his lifetime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
