    Recovered Barnes TTSX Today!!!!!!!

Anyone heard of or tried GS Custom Bullets? I've been loading them for a few years with great success. I like how the petals shear off at high speeds (above 2400 fps impact velocity), and at low speeds they mushroom out nicely. I've found that the flat face that the bullet makes at high...

    long range project 7 mag

That twist rate does seem slow, but the GS Custom 7mm 116 gr HV hollowpoint that we use will be plenty stable in a 1 in 11 twist. It would actually be a good long range bullet for that twist rate because the bullet won't be over-stabilized. We have had extremely good terminal performance on...

    long range project 7 mag

We make a 7mm Rem mag Load that uses a 116 gr. solid copper bullet. We push it at 3500 Fps and it has a G1 BC of .46 ... This makes it a very nice hunting round out to 800-1000 yds. At 800 yards this bullet will only drop 110 inches and still have 1950 fps behind it:) Also the lighter bullet...

Emily's 2014 Rosie Elk!!! ****STORY ADDED****

Re: Emily's 2014 Rosie Elk!!! WOW! Not sure how to put words to such an amazing hunt! If you don't mind me asking, what rifle and load? I have been working for years to design ammo that will allow ladies to hunt with less recoil, but give up nothing in performance! Thanks,

    Bear down!

TaftHunter, what would you think of trying a 7mm bullet with a BC of 0.468 and a weight of 116g? Gain you 400-500 fps at the muzzle, less recoil, even more reach, and killing power. When you have a sec check out http://www.gsgroup.co.za/284116HV171.html these little devils are amazing. I'll...

    Not SoCal, but....

+1, 3 most important things in hunting are... shot placement, shot placement, and not to be forgotten shot placement :) Great job man!

    Not SoCal, but....

Great shooting B.W.E! What a nice animal. I saw one comment that someone does not like copper. Please don't single out a material, engineering of the bullet has a huge effect. You may not like the results you have gotten with solid copper bullets, but most rifle bullets have some jacket if...

First time out with Sako 85

Nice shooting! I would suggest the 150g bullets or lighter, speed is your friend with copper bullets. What scope did you end up putting on your rifle, and what rings and base? Good luck!

    Ballistic coefficient

Hi guys! Great Thread! As a .260 Rem owner and crazy scientist, I thought I would share my thinking when I selected the .260 Rem. Mind you this was back in 2006, before many of the great 6.5mm cartridges we have today. But I think the fundamental logic still holds up, for me at least. To me...
