    Doves near Bullhead City

Hey guys, my girlfriend's family just bought a place in Bullhead City, AZ, between units 15c and 15d. I have heard that's pretty prime bighorn country, but does anyone have any experience bird hunting in those units? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

New female and basically new male hunters

Finally got the opportunity to head out and try to shoot some birds. All morning, didn't come across any game birds, with the exception of one eurasian that flew under the eaves of a building. Going to try again in a couple weeks. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

What type of dog is ideal for so cal hunting?

I know my GSP, despite being super energetic is the best dog I've ever owned. Rarely uses a leash, walks at heel, etc. Just wish I had gotten one sooner. Confession: I might have been looking for an excuse to show her off.

New female and basically new male hunters

I'm trying to get good at telling the difference when I'm just walking around. I think I see what GSPman was saying about the mourning doves having sort of a spotted pattern. I'm not going to lie, I'm really nervous about getting too excited and shooting the wrong dove out of season.

Very cool! I'm doing some work outside of Brawley, and I'm coming across more doves than I can count. If only I could hunt on company time....

Training a 1 yr old GSP

High on Kennels seems to be the most highly recommended training around, I'll definitely give them a call, even if it's only for the rattlesnake-avoidance training.

At the risk of sounding stupid, is it just common knowledge and generally accepted that certain privately owned fields are okay, or are they actually farming on public land?

Wow! That's pretty awesome. How do you know who to contact when you find a melon or wheat field? I've never gone anywhere but public land.

Training a 1 yr old GSP

Hey folks, We have a (almost) 1 yr old GSP that we got while living in North Carolina and we're trying to figure out how to get her ready for the season, but we don't have a couple grand to send her to a good kennel. She hasn't been exposed to gunfire since she was just a small pup, so I...

New female and basically new male hunters

Hey folks, So my girlfriend and I recently moved to San Diego from North Carolina, and we're trying to get into some upland bird hunting this season. We both have appropriate shotguns, and pretty good aim. She has never been hunting before. I went a few times in Washington state when I was...
