Summit Viper SD climber tree stand $50 Price drop

I added a molle frame with hip belt to make it easier to carry on longer hikes. It's strapped on with paracord and zip ties so it can easily be removed if you don't want it. The setup is in excellent condition. And I also have the original harnesses and straps that came with it. Those were only...

    Acorn preferences

Found a couple sites that seem to confirm that Englemans, a white oak, might be preferred since they have the lowest tannic acid content. https://www.realtree.com/deer-hunting/articles/everything-you-need-to-know-about-acorns http://bowsite.com/bowsite/features/armchair_biologist/acorns/acorns.html

    Acorn preferences

In San Diego where I've spent most of my time scouting and hunting for deer it seems like there's a bigger concentration of scat and prints around Engleman oaks that are dropping acorns than the black oak and live oak acorns. Has anyone else noticed this or am I reading into it too much?

    Tejon Ranch Group Pig Hunt

I am travelling back and forth to Canada until the end of December for work. Would it be okay with everyone if we try and target a set of dates in the first quarter of the new year?

Good Luck to all AO tag holders

How about bear spray? It's cheap, effective, and you may already have it in your gear box. May not be useful when you're walking in, but if your setup in a blind with your back against structure then it would at least give you a fighting chance.

Summit Viper SD climber tree stand

It's a climber style of tree stand vs. a hang on stand. I would google it and check out a you tube video or two to get the general concept. You can get it up a tree with a slight lean, but it's definitely not ideal. It can be leveled by taking in or letting out slack in the cables. This is best...

Summit Viper SD climber tree stand

I've never hunted from a saddle, but spent many years in a harness climbing rock and ice. It just seems like I would feel more comfortable in one and it's definitely easier to haul around on longer hikes. I'll report back once I've actually used one to hunt out of.

Summit Viper SD climber tree stand

Just added some pics. As you can see I added a molle frame with hip belt to make it easier to carry on longer hikes. It's strapped on with paracord and zip ties so it can easily be removed if you don't want it. The setup is in excellent condition. And I also have the original harnesses and...
