IMG_1580.JPG Me and bro Dennis took the Whaler out to some reefs and wrecks near Long Beach. Best day of weather on the water in some time. Avoided the crowds fishing sand bass at Izors and stayed west. Good bite on some tasty bottom critters. Dropper loop live baits for lings and squid strips for the rockfish. 120 to 150 feet. 69 degree water.

Good luck!

Nice Kevin.....Cabazon.....The other blue/green meat.....lol
Yeah lings and cabbies, the females have that blue-green hue and florescent looking meat. Cabezon have funny little nubs on their nose and two dorsal fins. I believe the top fish in the photo is a female ling and the other two are male lings. The colors are really cool.
