Dose anyone hunt sea ducks local?

I'm wondering if anyone has hunted sea ducks local and been Successful. I have killed two surf scooters but one was in Boulevard and the other in Measa granda that's by no means sea duck hunting. I really want to shoot a brant. I know they have there own season. Looking for tips if anyone dose it pictures or some one to take me

If you want to hunt brant you need to go to Mexico. Yes you can hunt them up north a bit but its not easy and very hit and miss. They also have eiders and scooters but they taste like ass so im not sure the reason to kill um.

Used to know a guy that hunted brant off of Point Loma, he would use a boat to get out to the kelps and then jump into kayak and paddle up on them and shoot when they got up.

I believe he would scout them up then hop in the kayak. He told me that the birds didn't show much concern for the kayak and he was able to get right up on them before they would jump up
