i turned 3 sprig into jerky last night. I shot a couple dove the same day and decided to marinate them and make jerky with them too. The dove turned out surprisingly good it’s like a nice chunk of jerky. If you have a bag full of dove in the freezer throw it in the dehydrater you won’t be disappointed. Make sure to marinate it for 24 hours.
The sprig was great, but I already knew waterfowl taste good as jerky. The dove is a surprise. The kids are eating it up.
As for the recipe I went easy and just used nesco original jerky seasoning.

Vacume sealed and in the freezer ready for our next day in the field.

    Drew,

Great way to get the kids involved in the whole process from field to table too.....Jerky is very popular here as well.
