Can anyone tell me how to hunt the kern refuge? Like what's better decoys or jump shooting? Also is it even worth the drive from Simi Valley?
 
I have never hunted Kern but I have a friend who hunts it every year and does quite well. I will try and contact him.
 
Some info... Decoys and hunting from a blind is preferred. Jump shooting a refuge can get you shot :) there are rules if you are in a numbered blind about when you can walk in and out. Part of kern you need a boat.... Deep water. Go do it! The worst thing that can happen is you get to watch the sun come up.

Dont be scared to go and look silly. It's duck hunting and the only way to learn is to fail but just like golf that one stupid green head you pop will make it all better
