Never hunted before from Los Angeles

Hey yall i would like to get into hunting with my dad we both have never hunted a day in our lifes besides fishing of course. What is the process of getting permits, seasons, and what can we hunt in the LA/SOCAL area? Thanks in Advance.

First you will need to take a hunter safety class. After you get that you will be able to get a hunting license and decide what you would like to hunt.
