New to the site and to hunting

Hello everyone,
I'm a SoCal native and new to the site and to hunting. I live in East San Fernando valley. I've been hunting only twice once for quail (successful) and once for pheasant (unsuccessful) when I was 12yo. I'm 38 now... That being said I'm no stranger to the outdoors as I am an avid backpacker. Anyhow just wanted to introduce myself here. Interested in Deer, Wild Pig, Rabbit, Waterfowl and Upland game. I know most seasons are about over, but I figured start reading the forums now and I'll be ready when the time comes. I've got hunter safety and license already. Looking forward to learning from you all. Thanks!

hey man welcome. im glad to see another person from SFV. Im also in SFV I hunt mostly upland love quail but this year has sucked. Im wanting to get back into coyote this year to fill some off season time. Do you hunt shot gun only or rifle as well?
