    Went turkey hunting with my daughter Sunday evening and we didn't see or hear any birds but I did find my first sheds and stumbled upon a small patch of morels. Made some elk steaks for dinner and a morel risotto with a side of asparagus. Came out pretty damn good. Never made a risotto before.

    2 years ago today. Shot my first turkey on Wed 4/20/22 and 3 days later I drove all my stuff up to Idaho and made the big move. Wife kept asking why I didn't pack my hunting stuff and I told her I had one more opportunity to try and make it happen. Time to get my first Idaho turkey!

    Haha ain't the the truth. None of the jakes were interested in my calls..they weren't even responding or strutting around. There were 2 long beards in the bunch but they weren't too interested either except when we first set up. We got some time to figure them out and we know the terrian better...
