    ammo recommendations?

CCI has lead free 22 ammo if you need it in 223 I use Black hills loaded with Barnes TTX because my rifle likes it but Barnes, Black Hills, Remington Razorback, etc etc are good rounds as well if your rifle shoots them well.

    CNF opener Quail fail

Darn social media’s ruining quail season too. Need to trace their IP address and kick in thier tumble weed fortress and let them have it.

I hunted imperial where I saw quail All dove season. I didn’t fire a shot in two days. I couldn’t believe it.

    Kimber Rifles

Well it is my preference I like a heavier barrel diameter to disapate heat for multiple shot accuracy. And for about the same price and weight I can get that with the Ridgeline. For hunting you really don't need that heat disapating ability because your not firing a lot of consecutive shots...

    Kimber Rifles

I have shot the Mountain Ascent in .308 at Shot Show its a nice mountain gun super light and accurate (Sub MOA). It is very light so the recoil is noticeable. I like the Christensen Arms Ridgeline better for about the same price point. It is a personal preference though. I hope to pick up...

    Removing the Barrel and Accuracy

Snake charmer is right on the money. With a rifle ammo experimentations pays dividends when reducing group sizes. Precision long guns are finicky with ammunition depending on tolerances and twist rates. If your shooting a 308 or 30-06 I've found 168 grain to 175 grain bullets will usually...

Loser cut & stole lock to my tree stand

California deer hunting just doesn't sound that appealing on public land. I drive to Montana for deer and elk. too much drama in our local woods sadly.

20 Gauge put in work today in the IV.

I originally bought it for my 16 yr old son to shoot but for whatever reason he loves his pump action 20 gauge and doesn't care to switch so now I've been shooting it. It is kinda fun to hunt with. Can't waste a gun right?

20 Gauge put in work today in the IV.

Its a great gun the factory recommendation is 1 oz 1300 FPS to cycle inertia drive so I knew the 1200 FPS stuff wouldn't work going into it but the 1275 FPS ammo works fine. I love the gun though. I wanted a 20 gauge semi that wouldn't break the bank and this one is great. I would recommend...
