Tags filled. We hunted many days, stayed out overnight, fought the heat, dehydraton for me one day, I was throwin20181111_071902.jpg20181028_130016.jpgg up and could hardly hike to the truck, long pack outs, about 6 miles with a full pack and camping gear, and sore legs. A season I wont forget. I do feel a little bad for taking the small spork but how hard it was to even find a buck this year for us I decided to fill my tag. We saw about 40 does to 3 legal bucks this season in public areas. Next years plan is a out of state hunt, probably Idaho. Good luck for everyone else this year.

X2... I sometimes cringe when I hear guys use the term "meat buck" as well. A legal deer is a legal deer and no reason to downplay a GREAT accomplishment regardless of size.

Lol I use that term because of meat eater but meat bucks on public land in So Cal are still difficult to harvest. No shame in them. Congrats on the success and the hard work you put in!

Congrats! It’s been a tough year for a lot of guys due to weather. Way to get it done.
I could be wrong but I think we might have validated that second buck at the firehouse a few days ago.

I believe it was validated at Cameron Station. I was not there for the validation of the second buck.
