I got this at big 5 for about the same price. have not used it yet so can not give a review.
but the price is right.
Well used it yesterday. And it function well. Boiled water. Made my coffee and my mountain house dehydrated scrambled eggs and beef stew. On a rating from 1-5. I give it a 4. Con was a little top heavy. Boiled water in about couple of minutes. What it took to smoke my cancer stick. I say for the money not a bad mini stove. I like because it can be set to simmer.

Gents & ladies, just my 2 cents but if all your doing is looking to boil some water look into the fosters beer can stove. Uses alcohol for fuel ultra light & boils 32 oz in about 4 min. Can be very easily built & home I even have a few I’d be willing to kick down for any members. Also have all the tools to build if you wanted to build your own. Very easy/cheap/ & would honestly cost you about $ 10 to $12 minus tools which your are more than welcome to borrow mine. Just throwing it out there.

Well done JKU Ben, keep that in mind for the future. But actually did make an alcohol stove from a can food. Drill air holes and use alcohol soaked cotton balls, also keep vaseline cotton balls in baggies
For emergency fire starter.

Thanks for sharing because you never know in future. What's going to happen. A simple can can be turned into hot food. With very little signature. With every day alcohol.
No special cans of butane or propane. I like minimal survival bag of tools. Especially in these times.

I'm using a BRS-3000T. Light, small, cheap, and works. Have done mountain house, top ramien, knorr, bear creek, etc with it. The con is you'll need some sort of wind screen if it's windy or set up somewhere that's blocked. But for $17 you can't go wrong. I see there are now other similar ones made by FOHOZ and Lixada. All three of these stoves are in the $13-20 range. There are others too.

I was using a pocket rocket v1 before but it didn't fold up small enough to allow the gas and the stove to fit in the pot. These do and so does the v2 but the pocket rocket v2 is twice the price. But I will say the pocket rockets probably do a little better in a breeze.

The jetboil systems to me look heavy, large, and expensive. Pretty much the opposite of what I want for basically boiling water.

The MSR PocketRocket 2 burner is super light and packable. I use that and the GSI Outdoors Halulite Minimalist pot.

That MSR burner really seems to make it get hot quick!

Had some stupid bulky Primus one before that and it took forever.

This setup packs really small. Smaller than the Jetboil. Fuel can and legs stuff into the pot for storage, and the PocketRocket folds up small and has a small plastic case to protect it.
