slow but fun day at wister

Well, you shot yourself a blue wing, so that is rad. Not too wall worthy, but awesome.

Nice work! How were the roads? Heading down on Saturday for one last hurrah...

Absolutely horrible. The Ts Us and W ponds are only accessible by walking pretty much. There were 3 trucks stuck on honker road and I’m sure in quite a few other places. Be careful and be prepared to walk.

Thanks parkerman! I was afraid of that...Hunted the T's last Saturday and the roads were getting a bit 'sporty' then...o_O

The beauty of Wister....4 different species and you didn't have a gadwall, pintail, or widgeon....The most common ducks these days.

I was at Wister last week-end too.....No Bueno on more rain.....4x4 only and even then, it's a crap shoot.

Congrats

The roads are still bad. Saturday will be interesting. Pick your Blind carefully. Hunted SJ on Wednesday. Fun for us. Dog was happy and drier then me.

Geez that's pretty gnarly... I hate having to park far away on the firmer ground which makes for a long haul with my canoe on my back, but I'd rather do that than get my rig stuck.

That mud will be on that truck, to some degree, until Summer. I still have mud from that last good storm when I hunted down there. Great picture. Oh, yeah, you can forget about dragging a duck cart through that stuff. Travel light boys.

Good looking pooch.[/QUOTE

Thanks. Montana kicks ass. She is 4 years old. My Blonde lab is just over 12. I still take her out but not in the hard stuff. Too old for the mud or the low temps.
