I prefer use any cover scent shampoo the day before ,ozone , plants anything that can help , than just go without nothing , maybe someone forget than you need walking with all the clothes and jackets to your treestand some friends me included a mile, and you sweat a lot , the cover scent maybe help deer dont smell you 200 yds away.
Of course down wind is work but sometimes wind change direction many times in old day.

Im with stevo...get the coues blog going as this one is dead, but please , when you shove an arrow thru the coues lungs, a money shot or 2 with a spray bottle of whitetail scent blocker laid in front of him might be in order.
