What a great day...Dodged the rain for the most part and we had a great turn-out (350+).
A huge shout out to Turner's Outdoorsman, Motherlode Turkey Calls, CNF, DFW, Flydown Custom Calls, Willow Creek Archery, VFW Ramona, CRPA, San Diego County Wildlife Federation, and all the volunteers from NWTF San Diego chapter...And lastly, the city lakes folks, Maile and Matt...It's a pleasure working with you.
Too all the folks that introduced themselves to me and friends...I'm sorry if I acted like I had to go or I didn't want to talk...Just super busy being the MC and trying to coordinate this event...PM me, if you have more questions and I will help as much as I can.

Well I may not have won anything today but had a great time at the event. I definitely will be back next year and just want to thank everyone who put this on. After leaving I did little exploring and seen turkeys, pretty excited to finish of my trip to SD that way Even got a little snow before deciding to head back to the crowded mess of RC.

Thanks for all those that came out. Some people walked with some great gear. 38 draws for hunting lake Sutherland, so 76 adults are hunting via the draw, and another 14 youth hunters.
Reminder, NWTF san Diego chapter monthly meeting this Tuesday night, the 25th @ kaminski's bbq in poway. You got questions ? This is the place to get answers!

Good times. Best of luck to all that drew hunts! Rain wasn't too bad, except for that one downpour and gust that almost took down our easy-up and soaked some cards..
Had a good time! Didn't win a hunt but I won a slate call and a upland vest and got to chat with some of the guys from here. Fired up for Turkey season!

Fun event, Steve you did a great job up there running the show, will have to make it an annual event on my calendar. Hopefully will get the kids out there next year. Was good getting to talk to and meet some fellow SCH’ers

In that moment of truth it's important that you're comfortable with the gun (where it shoots), position of shot (sitting down), and having the thought in your head on where to shoot (below the caruncles)...Practice makes perfect...

Very cool about littlemamas son! I need to get my son out next year. Our hunt is April 11th.
It was nice to see so many people attending our event. Hopefully many became members of NWTF and join our monthly meetings. There is a ton of good things we do in the county, all done by the hands of volunteers.
