Covid & the flu explained

Very interesting. A good and compelling presentation. Here’s my take , we have literally thousands of physicians, epidemiologists and virologists presenting their own data, evidence and theories and espousing their own conclusions. Many or most are quite compelling. The so called experts do not agree with each other. There is some consensus but still they are all over the map. Do I think this guy is more right than other experts? I don’t know. Just today I saw a doctor from the cdc say that he thinks wearing masks are almost as effective as a vaccine will be. The presenter in the video says wearing masks are basically useless. There are hundreds of other dichotomies from “experts” out there. I think a year from now we will have a clearer understanding of this virus and many of these thesis will be in the scrap heap. I think if you are in the high risk group (people over 65, people with significant medical impairments such as autoimmune diseases, obesity, coronary artery disease , pulmonary disease etc etc.) you need to be cautious and take extra steps to avoid exposure to covid19. We do know these people are far more likely to experience poor outcomes including death from the disease.

Thinning out the herd.
Ya know it kinda ironic.
Here with modern medicine, ppl live longer.
Then here comes covid.completly attacking the elderly and those that hang on by modern meds.
Just a observation.
Strong will survive.

What I think is interesting is the way MSM makes it sound like COVID kills Black and Brown people at higher rates because of poor access to health in this country (implying racism). Maybe. It seems more likely that it is because of a vitamin D deficiency. Melanin hinders the creation of vitamin D, and that seems to make the virus more lethal. COVID doesn't seem to be as lethal in Africa as it is in America. Obesity is also a big risk factor. So if you are old, fat, don't take care of your health, don't get out in the sun (and have brown skin) this is not the virus for you. Everyone else can probably take the punch and survive (though many not comfortably).

I'm no Trump supporter and I don't think he did a good job on COVID, but it is pretty clear the MSM wants to blame him for everything.

Take some responsibility for yourself: lose weight, wear a mask, get out in the sun and supplement vitamin D. We can all get back to normal pretty quick.

Again the only mask that work is the ones they use in hospitals . N9 mask, all others are useless and actually are detrimental, all first line doctors not on the dark side say this.
they are being censored. don't believe main stream media, research it for your self if hasn't been censored too.

Sorry LBH. But that’s just plain wrong. We are not using N95 masks in hospitals, except for certain procedures. We have been using plain face masks since this all began.
There is nothing detrimental about them. Every employee in every hospital in America has been wearing them everyday for 6 months. I assure you we are all fine. They work just fine because they catch droplets.

There really is no disagreement in the medical community about any of this. Watching a guy on YouTube talk about Covid is not research. One doctor or a group of doctors organized by a political group that have an opinion on Covid does not count as disagreement in the medical community. The major medical associations, research organizations and the hospitals that are treating these people are generally all in agreement.

What is so frustrating about Covid is the range of severity of illness that people experience. Some people have no symptoms whatsoever, while others are in for a brutal battle in the ICU and often death when their course of illness does take them to the ICU. For those that survive the ICU, long lasting organ damage is common. I have been caring for a man for the past few weeks who has kidney failure and severe lung damage due to Covid. He’s been hospitalized for 9 weeks, is still breathing out of a tube in his neck and has many months of recovery ahead of him, but will probably never be the person he was before Covid.

Comparing data from Europe to the US isn’t really helpful because they did serious lockdowns (with some exceptions) and we really did not. Average flu seasons in the US kill around 40K (roughly). So far for Covid we are at about 200K. But we haven’t even gotten to flu season yet. We will see what happens during that timeframe.

You don’t have to hide away in your house or be terrified to be near people because of Covid. There always has been and there always will be things out there that will kill you. Be selective about who you hang out with. Wear a mask when you go to crowded places or have to be near people. Help your fellow American out. There’s no difference between wearing a mask to the grocery store and pulling over to help someone change a flat.

i believe covid killed my dad.but they didnt do the tests on him.
