Clearly we all share something of an obsession with the outdoors and hunting, fishing, camping and gear-whoring. I'm curious...what other addiction(s) do you enjoy when you're not humping through the backcountry? I like to drink, smoke, gamble and people watch all at the same time.

Thinking about it. Guess my life is pretty boring outside of hunting.
Yep, or fishing for me since I grew up at the shore of the Pacific ocean and walked and have swam the beach most days during the time I grew up there in the 60's through the 2000's and taking fish out of the coastline as well as offshore and being a hunter of wildlife that I would consume throughout all of that and enjoying the harvest of my efforts then sharing it with others which has been the best part for me so far...

Does reloading fall under gear? If not, family, church, reloading, and stock market for non-outdoors related activities.

Let’s buy D15 tags next year and do a deer drive on mountain bikes.

I always have a d15 :) I wonder how many times I have zipped past a dude in a ghillie suit

What kind of history books? I’ve been reading Civil War books the last couple years.
I like anything pre-WWII, but the Civil War is my favorite topic. I think A Stillness at Appomattox by Bruce Catton was the best I've read on the subject. I also really liked John Ransom's Andersonville Diary for a very readable and upbeat diary from a POW.
