Make sure to have a solid rest when sighting in you should be testing the gun at this point not yourself. At a minimum a good bipod and a rear bag. Leave the pillows/ lead sleds or any other gimmicks at home.
A coworker used to be a sport boat captain. On his first solo overnight trip he hit a whale just a couple miles out of the harbor and had to turn around. Bummer wonder if they will ever know what they hit.
Second day was better than the first. Decided to fry some I grew up eating them like this when my grandpa would go down to Mex and bring a ton back way before the current regulations. With three of us knocking down limits I have a lot of dove to eat now.
They are truly illusive creatures glad we were able to get far enough off the road to find a few. I just buy shells and drive and every once in a while they let me pick the music and fire a round or two.
Have a gen 1 magneto chrono if anyone wants it they can have it. It started acting up one day. I think it was just dead batteries but it was all I needed to make myself go buy a Garmin. Free for pickup in Fallbrook or meet me at the range one day.

Well this morning I was gifted a couple muzzle loaders from a friend. He’s getting a little older and doesn’t think he’ll get to use them anymore. One of them is this fine beast. Looks like it was put together by an outfit in Texas and I’m working of figuring out loads and equipment needed...
I will make a quick video. They dont really give a good explanation of how to hook up the nest. So maybe I’ll make a quick little vid of what I did to maybe help someone else.
Finally got my set up can’t wait to try it in the wild. For now I’m just the neighborhood dork with a TP in his front yard. I got the half nest and the carbon fiber pole too.
