I bought one before I moved to Colorado 15 years ago, it was a great investment, no way would I pay non res fees to hunt D16. I just wish I'd have added the fishing license onto it.

Final tag of the season was filled yesterday evening in the last minute of shooting light on the last day. I still have a plains elk tag but have almost zero expectations of filling it after the farmer plowed under the only place I’ve found elk sign at out there. My first whitetail doe.

It’s the worst I’ve seen, every road had fresh lion tracks on top of our tracks every morning, one walked through our camp on Friday while we were out hunting, it’s a wonder there’s any deer left. Those are some good pictures for a cell phone, they must’ve been super close.

IMO you should shoot what you want as long as it’s legal, be it a small spork or a mature buck, as long as you’re good with it then it’s no one else’s business what you shoot.
