Peak midwest rut is the first 9 days on November. We have almost 50 entered in the book. Only 2 were taken outside these dates in 48 years hunting the same dirt.

.20 gauge 6 shot, ic choke. My buddie has used a .28 gauge 7 shot for 15 years. 6 shot has twice the bbs as 3 shot and it takes 1 bb to put a duck down. My best this year was 10 shots for a limit.

Hunt a cdfw refuge vs. A usfw fed refuge. Usfw has no idea vs. Cdfw who does a great job. I wont hunt anything but cadfw property. We are spoiled.
