This was my 2nd year going to Idaho and it did not disappoint! I would definitely recommend Idaho as a place to go hunt out of state with fairly reasonably priced OTC tags and great scenery. Not a bad place to take the family either. Here’s a few pics from this year. Now on to attempting to...
You can shoot the tiger.......unless he has claimed asylum. In that case you must feed him your left leg and be as quiet as possible while he enjoys his meal.
Went out for some cottontails too. Saw 1 cottontail and 1 jack. Populations look low right now so I couldn’t bring myself to pop em. Did see plenty of deer though, looks like they are having a booming year.
Thanks for the posts, there seems to be a bunch of last minute deer hunters out this season, I figured I'd wait til after deer season is over then try to pop some coyotes, I'll post on here some days when I'm heading out, the cool part is that I've got several spots we could try out here on...
I went this past Oct, was awesome, absolutely awesome, worth the money, going back next year, very affordable and best place in lower 48 if you ask me!
Sounds good, I'm literally seeing one every day, they are making tons of noise, killing cats etc. My neighbors are constantly complaining about em. Been hunting em on public land but I heard a couple of ranches want folks to come shoot em.
Lots of Coyotes out in this area, if ya need some target practice before deer season, come on out and give me a hand with these little fury bastards, thanks!
Dude, that's exactly what my wife said, damn cuteness!!! LOL! On a serious note, I really have no idea but whatever! Both cottontails and jacks are fun!
Nice Jack BaldKrash, And very good advice on brine, recipes etc. I especially like the honest foods advice, been following him for awhile. One thing to add that Ive always heard is that Jacks should be treated more like a small mule deer as far as prep and cooking and cottontails like chicken...
That's what I thought cause i read it too but just to be sure i called CA Fish and Game and the guy on the phone informed me it was in effect for .22 Rifles as well, not a big deal but definitely a difference. I'm super curious how it's gonna affect my .270???
