    Truck gear??

4WD...you cant go hunting without it. Assuming you have food, water, shelter, warmth, and gasoline covered. Depending on your situation: I would toss in some recovery gear like a jack, recovery rope, shackles, and shovel. Leather gloves Electrical tools, electrical tape, wire, fuses, wire...

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

Haha, got the value out the 4WD there. :joy: Shorter wheelbase is where its at. This has got to be the most interesting classified SCH has ever had. Cant wait to see where it goes next! PS: I think we can make it to at least 60 comments.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

Maybe, but why do you ask? I'm not saying that everyone should drive 2WD vehicles. It doesn't bother me at all if you think you need 4WD. If you are running a heavy full size truck, you might need 4x4. There are reasons, which are covered extensively on other forums, why the off-road community...

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

Not knowing all of the places that you have been, this could be true. It's equally likely that you have never been where I have gone. I have battled some of the worst mud on planet earth. Some prominent figures on this site even claim that 4WD is irrelevant in that mud. Agree, 90% of getting...

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

I would buy another 2WD Tacoma with Auto LSD. If I thought i needed 4WD, I would have sold this truck a long time ago.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

just added it up, its $10k in gas alone, and that's only part of the costs (not including initial capital cost +$5k, taxes, insurance, maintenance, DMV Fees, etc.). LOL, I could leave it where it sits and buy another one for that price.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

You may be surprised by the hidden costs of 4WD. Gas alone over the lifetime of the truck adds up to over $10k, which could pay for a lot of recoveries. I'm not knocking 4WD. It has its pro's and cons. I have just never needed it with this truck.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

I have been all around (mud, snow, sand, etc.) with 2WD. It has never limited me and never been stuck. It has Toyota's AutoLSD which simulates locking the rear axel. I have been off-roading for many years and 90% of not getting stuck is picking your line and driver input.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

Yep, my parents have had 2 Tacoma go over 400k miles before they sold them in perfect condition. Sad to see this one go.

*SOLD* 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab with Pickup Shell - $11900 (Vista, CA) *SOLD*

The family is expanding and we had to get a bigger truck. This truck has only had one owner and is in Very Good Condition. Meticulously maintained with complete service records available. Clean title, passed Smog in 2022 with no problems and has current registration (through February 2023)...
