Help me overthink my 300PRC load choice.

Working on a 199 Hammer Hunter load for 300 PRC. Have found Hammers to work very well for hunting distances. Load 140 Absolute Hammers for 280 AI. Have shot them at targets at 600 yds and made a one shot kill on Antelope at 200 yds +. Load 214 HH for 30 Nosler and killed a pig at 200 yds +. Have...

    CA D16 / A22 Seasons - Scouting - OnX Maps ?

I have observed that private property lines are sometimes displaced a small distance. However, not clear if adjacent property lines are displaced as well, especially when private property abuts public land.

    New Mexico Antelope Down

Barnes blasts through an animal with big entry and exit wounds. Hammers fragment into petals and shank, often don’t exit or leave small exit wounds, sometimes hard to see. Less meat damage with Hammers. In my opinion it is easier and quicker to work up an accurate load with the hammers, less...

    New Mexico Antelope Down

Set up 280AI, 140 gr Absolute Hammers, kneeling with tripod. The target was at 230 yds, scope set for 300 yds. Buck was presenting nearly broadside, slanted toward me, walking quickly into a 15 mph headwind. Led a bit too much and hit neck-body intersection. Buck dropped immediately. No exit...

    New Mexico Elk

Grandson Lil Drew accompanied me to New Mexico the first week of October for a five day Elk Hunt guided by Justin Medina, NM Arrowhead Outfitters. Filled the tag with a 5x6, which was almost as satisfying as spending time hunting with Lil Drew. Brought the Elk down with a FFA 30 Nosler at 300...

    Hunting Bullets

For CA legal the Barnes TTSX are my preferred bullets for .243-.30 cal. Wish they made a heavier bullet than 180 gr for .30 cal. I use Hammer Hunter 214 gr for 30 Nosler loads. Tested the load on a boar at 200+ yds. Wham- Bang, meat in the freezer.

Our family went to visit the the Smithsonian in DC in the early 60s to see Friendship 7, the space capsul that John Glenn, the first man to orbit the Earth, rode. My 2 younger brothers and I climbed over the ropes and jumped in to check it out. Somehow my dad talked the guards into not kicking...
