    Early Fathers Day!

Came home to nice size box on the living room floor today! Super excited to finally get started. Funny thing is a few days ago a buddy was transferring to Hawaii and gave me an 8lb jug of IMR 4227, 1lb trailboss, 1lb IMR PB, 1lb IMR 8208 and a host of primers.

    X9B

Has anyone here hunted X9B? I know that it is some rugged terrain but it looks like an area that could produce and provide the opportunity for a nice buck. Thoughts?

    Fishing Recommendations

Looking to take my 3 boys out fishing on Saturday. I'm looking for recommendations on a decent spot to go that we can shore fish from. I live up in Temecula so anywhere in the IE or San Diego County are the areas I'm looking to go. Doesn't matter the species, anything will work. Recommendations?

    3 new legal hunting buddies

My 11 and 9 year old boys have been hunting with me since they were 6 and 4. They have been persistent in their love for the outdoors and I felt like they were mentally and physically ready to take the hunters ed course. My 15 year old son has never hunted anything himself and has only tagged...

    Informative and Valuable Books

What books or publications have you read that provided valuable and useful knowledge for in the field? Last year, I read Dwight Schuh's "Hunting Open-Country Mule Deer" and "Mule Deer-Western Challenge". I enjoyed both books but Dwight Schuh's book way more informative. I recently ordered...

    A surprise herd

Hunted Pendleton this morning, the areas we usually hunt were filling up fast so the boys and I headed North. Morning started out promising as we were quickly on a few does and a buck. The buck turned out to be a really big spike. As we headed back to the truck to re-group we ran across these...

    Balboa Park Archery Ranges

Just wondering, if any of you guys shoot at either of the Balboa Park ranges during the week. Parking sucks for the walking range but its a good way to spend your lunch break.

    300 Win Mag shooters

I have had 2 Savage 111 FCXP-3 model 300 Win Mags sitting in my safe for a few years now. These are the non-accutrigger models but I dropped the Rifle basix Sav-1 trigger in one of them and did my own alteration with a few snips of coils in the other. Both triggers are now crisp. My question...

    Where to buy?

Where do you all buy your components for reloading; I'm just getting started and plan on reloading for 300 Win, 30.06, .270 Win, .223. Only thing I'm missing for hardware items is a case trimmer which I think I saw at Fine Firearms (was in a hurry to get back to office but with half days will...

    What release are you using?

Well, I am in the market for a new release. I believe I left mine on the back of the truck yesterday as I was in a hurry to get home for the start of the Bama vs GA game. I was looking at the TruBall Assassins this morning and like the reviews on them. What are you using? I would like to be...

    Scent Killers

Who uses them? If so, which one do you use? I use the Scent-A-Way advanced formula (odorless). I started using it last year and was sceptical of the odorless formulas, until this morning. My sons and I went to hunt our blind I had setup, (we were a little late, got there at 5:35 exactly)...
