@SDLIVIN and I went back for Band Tails after only getting one shot off last week. Saw only a few but it was still good being out in the local mountains. Figured out which way the band tails usually dodge and so the Dec 2019 season will be a huge improvement for us.
Then went for some local dove at a secret spot that only 8 other people knew about today. Didn’t get a shot off on the doves and passed on a ground squirrel.
Then we realized the trip was actually scouting for the 2019 D16 season. Saw this buck print, then saw two Doe on private land near a public spot. While watching the Doe this young forky crossed the road to get to the Doe’s side.67C37CA5-630E-4758-AB86-57CD19EF63FA.jpegEA63F0AF-63D3-41ED-BC07-C9CD065A55ED.pngD7C7DD87-1E13-4D68-90B2-8CDBA30D48BC.png

Deer pics were taken around 11:30am. So they really are out at mid day sometimes.

Had fun today Dan! Thanks.
Good scouting trip. Saw a bobcat crossing the road early in the morning on the way in. Quick, so no pics of that guy.
Those Doe seemed almost tame, that pic was 10' away from the truck. Originally drove by them on the dirt road at 10/15 mph, Dan saw them, backed up and they didn't skip a beat. Then saw the buck up ahead about to cross to get to them there does.
Another beautiful day in the mountains...
