Awesome hunting weather today. If you were not out today it’s because you don’t have an open tag or grandma is in the hospital . No other excuses will do.
No bucks today but this nice female coyote came in. She stepped out at 40 yards walking up the trail head on. When she was at 30 and behind a bush I drew back. She paused there for a long while, then made a hard right off the trail and into the brush. Still holding at full draw I made some mouth squeaks and she came right back out and turned almost broadside at 20 yards. Whack ! She ran off into the thick brush and piled up 30 yards away. I continued my deer hunt but didn’t see anything. A few hours later I tried the Foxpro but it was late in the day and nothing came in.
One less fawn killer in my canyon.

Yep great day in the woods. I had 4 does and 2 bucks under my tree for a while. The better one was a small 2x3. Lots of chasen. the big boys should be scent checking the areas every night.

Yep......Bucks chasing does this morning up in the D-16.

Jim,

Congrats on the 'yote......I still can't believe I missed a 25 yd shot yesterday with my trusty .243.....Shot it today and was dead on..... ::)

Great work!
The more totes that are removed, the better for all wildlife. They're taking over the back country all over the US. They didn't exist in my home town when I was young. Now there are no more fixed in that county because the coyotes took over there dens.
